Mental Health Awareness Assembly
Year 9, I hope you are all ok this week and keeping safe. I wanted to make you aware that this week is Children's Mental Health Week 2021. With us being in lockdown it is vitally important that you look after yourself and if you feel like you need support please make us aware as we are always here to help. Here are some of the signs that you might be struggling with your mental health;
1) Unable to sleep
2) Difficulty concentrating
3) Short temper
4) Loss of appetite
5) No motivation or take pleasure in anything
6) Feeling helpless or hopeless
Some simple tips to help improve your mental health;
1) Write a list of positives in your life
2) Talk to someone you can trust (a problem shared is a problem halved)
3) Regular exercise
4) Getting enough sleep
5) Get some fresh air
6) Do you something that makes you happy - reading a book, watching a film, facetime a friend, play a computer game
7) Listen to music and dance around
I just wanted to let you know that if you are feeling a bit down at the moment YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR OWN! Please talk to someone (myself included) and we can support you.
